PADICAT (Digital Heritage of Catalonia) is an initiative of the Biblioteca de Catalunya to capture, preserve and disseminate the web archive of Catalonia that was launched in 2005, in which the BC has the technological collaboration of the Consortium of University Services of Catalonia (CSUC).
- Mass capture of the .cat domain at least once a year.
- More intensively capture websites related to historical, social, cultural events, etc., such as elections, the pandemic…
- Websites recommended by users or identified by the PADICAT team and that do not correspond to the .cat domain.
- Websites of institutions, companies or entities with which the BC has signed a collaboration agreement.
