On Monday, April 28, 2025 at 12:32 p.m. there was a general blackout that affected the entire Iberian Peninsula (except Gibraltar), including Andorra, and parts of southern France for hours. In addition, interruptions in Internet services were reported in Morocco due to the dependence on servers hosted in Spain. The incident affected the electricity supply, as well as mobile and landline telephone services. Since Tuesday, April 29 and for a week, Padicat has made an intense capture of twenty resources related to the media and government websites, which will allow us to have an image of this unprecedented event that paralyzed the country.

On May 12, 2024, elections were held in the Parliament of Catalonia to elect its 135 members for the XV legislature. They were convened in advance, when the budgets proposed by the government of Pere Aragonès were not approved. Padicat has made an intensive capture of 38 resources, corresponding to the parties that have been presented, as well as a diverse sample of media, which have been captured between April 27 and May 27.

On July 23, 2023, general elections were held in Spain to elect the 350 seats in the Congress of Deputies and 208 of the 266 seats in the Senate. They were convened in advance after the President of the Government dissolved the General Courts, before the results of the municipal elections of May 28. 55 resources have been selected corresponding to the parties that have been presented, as well as a diverse sample of media, which have been captured between July 7 and August 24.

On May 28, the municipal elections were held in Catalonia. Padicat has monitored and captured the candidacies presented in 67 municipalities distributed throughout the territory, as well as related institutions and media. The total resources captured between May 16 and June 27 was 278.

On February 14, 2021, elections were held for the Parliament of Catalonia, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, which applied exceptional measures to guarantee the right to vote with maximum security. Padicat has made an intensive collection of digital resources capture, related to political parties, candidates, the institutions and the media.

The pandemic caused by covid-19 has caused an avalanche of information, a lot in digital format. Since March 13, Padicat has made a daily capture of resources related, such as the main media and government websites.

The year 2019, after the end of the legal period following the elections of April 28 without having formed a government in Spain, elections were again called to Congress and the Senate on November 10. Between October 28 and November 24, Padicat captured 144 resources of candidates, parties and media.

On May 26, local elections were held in Catalonia. Padicat has carried out and captured the candidacies presented in 45 municipalities distributed throughout the territory, as well as of the institutions and related media. The total resources captured between May 15 and June 15 has been 411.

On April 28, 2019, general elections to Congress and the Senate were held in Spain. 165 resources have been selected including parties and candidate, as well as a diverse sample of media outlets, captured between April 15 and May 15.
